The project
Commitment
We initiated an invitation to all interested farmers in the region to acquaint themselves with our project. Participation is complimentary and non-committal, offering the opportunity to leverage the program and potentially engage in higher pricing.
Training & Education
During the initial months, the focus was on engaging in a series of training sessions and pursuing continuous education through knowledge transfers and best practices to enhance comprehension of soil, soil analysis, fertilizer utilization, and overall advancements in cultivation methodologies.
New Ways & Practises
Developing expertise in utilizing cutting-edge agricultural tools, interpreting intricate soil data, mastering the nuances of fertilizer components, and embracing revolutionary techniques for cultivating and nurturing peppermint crops.
The hands-on approach, termed 'Learning by Doing', saw the NAKO Agricultural TEAM conducting
field-level demonstrations on land preparation and cultivation methods. These demonstrations were
the culmination of three months of comprehensive training, stretching from December 2022 to
February 2024, preparing the farmers for practical application.
Farmers learned to collect representative soil samples for analysis by government laboratories. The
insights gained from these analyses enabled the NAKO Agricultural TEAM to provide customized
recommendations, improving soil health and productivity. Farmers received Soil Health Cards and
engaged in one-on-one discussions to fully understand their soil's health report and the suggested
practices.
