Historical Background & Origin
Guava (Psidium guajava L.) leaves have been extensively studied for their health benefits as they have a plethora of phytochemicals such as avicularin, quercetin, apigenin, kaempferol, guaijaverin, hyperin, gallic acid, myricetin, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, catechin, epicatechin, and epigallocatechin gallate.
Traditionally, guava leaf preparations have been used for managing several diseases. The antidiabetic, antioxidant, anticancer, antimicrobial, antidiarrheal, hepatoprotective, and lipid-lowering properties of guava leave extracts have been widely studied.
Apart from all this, the guava leaf extract is a rich source of zinc that is exploited in various supplements as this quality makes it great for supplements.
Good source of Zinc
We explored this source and made our product from guava leaf extract with 4% zinc.
Zinc must be included in your regular diet through different food sources or can be added by taking supplements as it is not produced naturally by the body.
ZINC
The vital mineral zinc is present in every cell of your body and is used by your body in countless ways. After iron, it is the second-most abundant trace mineral in your body.
It is an essential nutrient for supporting numerous biological processes. Just to elaborate a little bit, this mineral is necessary for the activity of over 300 enzymes in our body that help in digestion, nerve function, metabolism, and many other processes. One of the enzymes needed for proper taste and smell is also dependent on zinc as zinc deficiency can disrupt your sense of smell and taste.
Even your body's growth and development are dependent on zinc as it has a role in cell growth and division.
