Historical Background & Origin
Black garlic! This rich bulb provides you with many valuable ingredients - and when your body has such a strong plant hero at its side, it can only laugh wearily at the wind and weather. Its roots reach far back into early human history. Black garlic is fermented white garlic. Fermentation softens it and changes the taste. It has a higher antioxidant content. It is often recommended as a home remedy for arteriosclerosis and also has a detoxifying effect.
Main active ingredient S-Allylcysteine (SAC)
Black garlic has a high antioxidant content. SAC is very stable and remains functional in appropriate preparations (e.g. in black garlic extract) for at least 12 months.Other active ingredients in black garlic (e.g. tetrahydro-beta-carbolines or N-alpha-(1-deoxy-D-fructose-1-yl)-L-arginine) and fructans further enhance the spectrum of activity of fermented garlic.
