Historical Background & Origin

The apple of paradise originally comes from the regions of western to central Asia. The fruit requires tropical to subtropical climatic conditions for its growth cycle. Currently, the fruit is also grown in the Mediterranean region. Turkey, for example, is currently one of the world's most important main suppliers of pomegranates.

High polyphenol concentration

With 20 different polyphenols, the fruit has the relatively highest concentration of polyphenols in direct comparison with other foods. Scientific studies have shown that these secondary plant substances are demonstrably anti-cancerous, prevent the growth of carcinomas and potentially protect against bowel, breast, prostate, lung and stomach cancer.
